This shell is only found in New Zealand, this is one of our native sea life.
The Ostrich foot Shell (did you know it was even called that?, I didn’t until this year☺️ 🐚)
Found only on beaches in NZ, they remind me of summer when I was a child and a teenager, collecting them to take home and then also wearing the edge part as a summertime ornate ring.
They have a distinct look to them. I love their architectural look, the repeating pattern to them and the tiger like markings on them too.
